Army spouse from germany

Seth
Seth

Hey, been living in german past 6 months with my wife and found this site looking for other people going through the challenges of a male military spouse. we got married a week after her AIT, which is almost a year now. i had no idea how hard it was going to be and didnt really fully understand the sacrifices i would have to make. My wife is expecting to be deployed in january and to be honest it scares the hell out of me.

Hey Seth, welcome to our website, welcome to the life of a military spouse.  My wife would be so jealous of you guys, she love Germany!  She's currently deployed to Northern Africa, do you know where your wife is going yet?  Where are you from originally?

Besides the website we also have a Facebook page and a private, guys only page called "The Men's Room."  That one is just for the guys and is another great place to get advice and support from other male spouses.  Let me know if you have problems locating our Facebook locations and I will forward on direct links.

Again, welcome aboard!  Make sure you check out our videos, they answer a lot of questions you may have.

If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Hello.

My wife and I did the same thing, we got married right after her AIT. I have lived in Eurpoe, and it was fun! Do you have kids? If not, use that time she is away to keep busy, pick up a hobby if you don't have one already. Get out with your wife and meet her female friends that are married and thier husbands, after all, you guys are in the same boat!

 Good luck

Richard

Hello Seth,

Where in Germany are you stationed? I am currently in Landstuhl, Germany. I met my spouse in basic training and 4 mths later we got married and have been married for 18 years. The first deployment will be the hardest but since you are here in europe get with outdoor Rec and take some one to two day trips while she is gone to keep yourself busy...find one that you really like and when she gets back take her there.
